- Adjusting the timing of the launch is as simple as turning the Timing Knob to the left or to the right. Turn it clockwise for more wait time. Turn it counter-clockwise for less wait time after loading the machine. You want enough time to load the machine and get comfortably into your batting stance, like stepping into the Batter's Box in a game.
- Before you use the machine for the first time, remove it from storage, after adjusting the Timing Knob or after changing the spring, make sure you "Test Load" the machine. Doing this will allow you to safely see how much time there is from when the Poptoss is loaded until when it launches a ball.
- How to adjust the Poptoss to launch the ball lower or higher in the strike zone and further or closer to the machine ? High launches simulate Change-ups and lower launches can simulate up to a 100 mph Fastball (based on reaction time).
- You can change the angle that the Poptoss in on. This effects the trajectory of the launched ball allowing the user to simulate any pitch location imaginable. This is also useful for different age groups and working on pitches high in the zone or low in the zone.
- The Green and Black Poptoss Tees come with different springs for different modes. The longer spring is to pop the ball higher or further (depending on launch angle). The shorter the spring will bring down the height of the popped ball.
- If you get something (water, dirt, etc.) in the Chamber of the Poptoss or if you've used the Poptoss for a few seasons and notice the timer fluctuates slightly it may just need to be lubricated. Here's how.
